Key qualifications and experience:

Valid Special Education Teaching certification Experience working with elementary students, especially in mild/moderate special education settings Strong classroom management and individualized instructional skills Ability to develop and implement IEPs tailored to each student Collaborative approach to partnering with general education teachers, specialists, and families Passion for fostering a supportive, inclusive classroom community Primary responsibilities: Lead a classroom of approximately 20 students with diverse learning needs Create, monitor, and evaluate Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) to ensure targeted student growth Adapt and differentiate lessons to meet varied learning styles and abilities Foster strong communication with families and multidisciplinary school teams Collect and analyze student data to drive instructional decisions Maintain compliance with all state and federal special education requirements
