A Special Education Teacher teaches students who have disabilities, and adapts teaching methods to meet the needs of students. Assesses students and helps to develop individualized education plans that specify the services and accommodations needed for each student. Works in a classroom that includes only students with IEPs, or works with students and teachers in regular classes. For students with severe disabilities, may focus on developing skills for independent living. Works as part of a team that includes therapists, school counselors or social workers.

Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Provide specialized early childhood education support across multiple school sites, ensuring compliance with district standards and educational goals. Collaborate with classroom staff, therapists, and family members to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs). Deliver engaging and developmentally appropriate instruction to early childhood students with special needs. Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and participate in team meetings for continuous improvement. Assist in creating a positive, inclusive learning environment that promotes student growth and well-being.Qualifications:
Early Childhood Special Education Credential Minimum 1 year in relevant special education roles Ability to work itinerantly across multiple school sites Strong planning skills Dependable, team-oriented attitude Background check required Flexibility for dayshift scheduleBenefits:
