Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Step into an impactful Special Education teaching opportunity at a vibrant high school near Littleton, CO. This full-time, contract position runs from August 11th to May 21st, providing you with a stable academic calendar as you help shape the lives of students with diverse learning needs. Ideal candidates bring a passion for individualized instruction and a deep knowledge of Special Education best practices. A valid Colorado Department of Education Special Education Teacher License with a Generalist Endorsement (grades 5-21) is required. Temporary or substitute credentials do not qualify unless you've already applied for the proper licensure with proof in hand. Virtual, hybrid, or remote arrangements are not available—this role is for dedicated onsite educators.

Current
CDE SPED
License with Generalist Endorsement for grades 5-21 (proof of application required if in process) Proven experience as a Special Education Teacher in a school setting Comprehensive understanding of the IEP process and skill in collaborating with IEP teams Strong background in implementing Specially Designed Instruction and supporting students on alternative academic standards
Responsibilities:
Deliver targeted, individualized instruction to students in accordance with their IEPs Employ evidence-based teaching practices and a wide range of instructional strategies Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to support student growth and progress monitoring Develop and maintain thorough documentation for compliance and student success This position offers the chance to work within a supportive educational environment where your expertise directly impacts student achievement.
