Special Ed Teacher | Bloomfield, Connecticut ProCare Therapy - 3.9 Bloomfield, CT Job Details Full-time | Contract $26.34 - $48.34 an hour 10 days ago Qualifications Classroom Teaching Special Education Certification Full Job Description Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Step into a rewarding opportunity as a Special Education Teacher supporting high school students in a school setting. This contract position involves engaging with students to support their growth and learning, focusing on academic, social, and emotional development. This role plays a vital part in fostering a positive and inclusive environment, making a direct impact on student success. This position is full-time, Monday through Friday, with workdays typically lasting about 7 hours and 25 minutes. The assignment begins as soon as possible, and while it is expected to continue through the end of the school year, there is a required 30-day notice for early cancellation if the district hires someone directly. The caseload involves high school students and does not require toileting or feeding responsibilities.
Desired Qualifications:
Valid Special Education Teacher certification Experience working in high school settings is highly preferred Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring Ability to collaborate effectively with students, families, and colleagues Excellent communication, organizational, and classroom management skills Flexibility and a passion for supporting diverse learners
Key Responsibilities:
