June 2027 We are looking for a Certified Special Education Teacher in Bridgeport, CT to create a supportive learning environment and help students build academic, behavioral, and social skills.
Responsibilities:
Develop and deliver individualized lessons based on student needs and IEPs. Provide academic and behavioral support throughout the school day. Track student performance and adjust instruction as needed. Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student planning. Coordinate with teachers, counselors, and related service providers. Maintain student records and progress reports. Build positive relationships with students and encourage their independence. Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Special Education, Education, or a related field. Valid Connecticut Special Education teaching certification. Experience developing or implementing IEPs preferred. Strong classroom management and student engagement skills. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Commitment to creating an inclusive and student-centered learning environment.
