Job Description

Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact in the lives of young students by stepping into a contract paraprofessional role supporting K-2 learners with diverse needs. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about providing a supportive, inclusive environment for students, especially those who are nonverbal or on the autism spectrum. The school is eager to welcome someone who can begin right away.
Desired Qualifications:
Experience working in K-2 educational environments preferred Familiarity with supporting nonverbal and autistic students Ability to use patience, creativity, and empathy to connect with young learners Strong communication skills for collaborating with teachers, specialists, and families Flexibility, reliability, and a positive attitude Paraprofessional certification, or willingness to obtain as required
Key Responsibilities:
Provide dedicated support to students in classroom and small group settings Assist teachers with implementing lesson plans and accommodating individual learning needs Facilitate communication and engagement for nonverbal students through alternative methods and tools Support students with autism in achieving their academic, social, and behavioral goals Foster a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment Monitor student progress and provide feedback to educators and support staff This contract role offers the chance to gain valuable experience while making a real difference in children's lives.
