Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Step into a vibrant elementary school environment supporting K-5 students as a contract Special Education Teacher in the greater Hartford, CT area. This opportunity focuses on resource and push-in classroom settings where you'll make a lasting difference, working alongside educators dedicated to inclusive learning. Ideal candidates bring:

Valid Connecticut licensure with 165 or 265 Special Education Certification (DSAP certification may be considered) Experience serving elementary-aged students, preferably in a resource or push-in setting Proficiency in IEP development, management, and delivery of direct instruction Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills to partner with staff and families Key responsibilities include: Delivering high-quality instruction and intervention to K-5 students with diverse learning needs Managing caseloads and leading development, implementation, and progress monitoring of IEPs Collaborating with general education teachers, related service providers, and families to support student growth Maintaining compliance and accurate documentation for all case management activities Adapting instructional strategies to meet students' unique goals and foster engagement This contract position offers the chance to enrich your career while making a meaningful impact on students' academic journeys.
