Location:
River Street School, Windsor, CT Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Special Education Teachers needed to staff summer school program on a temporary basis between 3 and 6 weeks, at a school for Autistic/Special Ed students. Responsible for all classroom teacher duties, including but not limited to individual IEP/program development and implementation, report writing, parental communication, supervision of assigned staff, data collection and interpretation, and student performance assessment. Work as a team member with other related service staff. May be required to diaper, change, shower, and feed students. Must be able to pass background check and be fingerprinted upon hiring.
Requirements:
A current CT DOE certification in Special Education is preferred. Bachelor degree required.
NOTE:
This is a summer only position, the weeks are between July 1 to August 11, 2026. There is a minimum 3 week commitment, however the full 6 weeks is preferred. FMLA regulation require all employers to post the updated FMLA notice.
