This contract position is designed for a dedicated Special Education Teacher eager to work in a collaborative educational setting. You'll play a vital role in delivering tailored instruction and building strong relationships with students who require additional support in both resource and high school classroom environments.

Qualifications & Experience Sought:

Active Connecticut Special Education (SPED) licensure Experience teaching students in high school or resource settings preferred Strong commitment to individualized education plans (IEPs) and inclusive teaching practices Excellent communication skills when collaborating with fellow educators, families, and support staff Ability to manage a diverse caseload and maintain detailed documentation as required by state and federal guidelines

Role Responsibilities:

Provide instruction to high school students with diverse learning needs, both in resource settings and mainstream classrooms Develop and implement effective IEPs, ensuring each student receives appropriate accommodations and modifications Monitor student progress and adjust strategies as necessary to meet academic and behavioral goals Partner with families, therapists, and school support teams to promote student success Maintain accurate records and contribute to IEP meetings and evaluations
