As a full-time contract educator, you'll work within a supportive environment to guide students toward academic and personal success. The first role centers on 6th grade English Language Arts and Math, providing both general and specialized instruction. Candidates with experience or training in reading intervention programs such as SPIRE, WILSON, OG, or similar are strongly preferred. This position is ideal for someone passionate about developing reading and math skills in young learners. The second role focuses on academic assistance for students in grades 6 through 8. As an Academic Assistance Teacher, you'll help students build executive functioning skills and provide support in core academic areas in a resource-like setting.
Desired Qualifications:
Current special education certification in Connecticut, or eligibility to obtain certification Experience or training in evidence-based reading intervention programs (such as
SPIRE, WILSON, OG
) is highly desirable for the ELA/Math position Previous experience working with middle school students preferred Strong communication and collaboration skills Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans and support students' diverse needs
