Quaker Farms School is seeking a skilled and dedicated Preschool Teacher to join our team for the upcoming school year. We are looking for an educator who is committed to fostering student growth within a supportive and collaborative school environment.Key Responsibilities:
(list not all inclusive) Create an engaging, welcoming classroom environment that encourages student learning and development. Provide direct, systematic instruction in academic, social, communication, behavioral, and adaptive skill areas. Design differentiated lessons aligned to IEP goals and the Connecticut Early Learning and Development Standards. Serve as case manager for assigned students, ensuring compliance with all special education timelines and documentation requirements. Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Collaborate with related service providers, preschool staff, families, and administrators. Supervise and collaborate with paraeducators to ensure effective implementation of student goals. Conduct evaluations, prepare comprehensive reports, and present findings during Planning and Placement Team (PPT) meetings. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and district special education regulations and timelines. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding student progress and class expectations. Complete all required administrative duties, including reporting on student performance. Think flexibly and adapt to the specific needs of studentsQualifications:
Hold valid Connecticut certification (112, 113, 165, 065) Strong, effective communication, organizational, and classroom management skills. Ability to work collaboratively within a professional team environment. Proactive team player. Dedication to providing a positive and meaningful learning experience for students.Salary/Benefits:
