Aug 26, 2026 Job Description Secondary Comprehensive Learning Program Special Education Teacher Anticipated to begin at the start of the 2026-2027 school year. Provide direct instruction in functional academics, daily living skills, vocational readiness, community skills, and social-emotional learning. Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in compliance with IDEA and state special education regulations. Collect and analyze student performance data to monitor progress and adjust instruction and interventions. Provide transition-focused programming Facilitate inclusion opportunities in general education classes, electives, school activities, and community settings based on student needs and IEP goals. Collaborate with general education teachers to support accommodations, modifications, and inclusive instructional practices. Implement evidence-based practices for students with ASD including visual supports, structured teaching, communication supports, and positive behavior interventions. Develop and maintain behavior support plans in collaboration with the IEP team, behavior specialists, and families. Support communication development using AAC systems as appropriate, and collaborate with speech-language pathologists and related service providers. Coordinate and manage paraprofessionals, providing guidance and feedback to ensure consistent student support. Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress, behavior, and transition planning. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, evaluations, eligibility determinations, and annual review meetings. Maintain accurate documentation including service logs, progress reports, lesson plans, and compliance paperwork. Maintain a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment that promotes student dignity and independence. Salary per OEA Collective Bargaining Agreement OEA Collective Bargaining Agreement
