Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Bring your passion for teaching and dedication to helping students with special needs to a part-time contract opportunity this summer. In this role, you'll work with Pre-K or in a self-contained classroom—selection based on your experience and preference—to provide individualized support during the extended school year.
Key Qualifications:
Valid Special Education Teacher certification Experience working in school settings, preferably with Pre-K or self-contained classes Deep understanding of IEP implementation and related documentation Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and colleagues Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive environment
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver tailored instruction to students with diverse learning needs in either a Pre-K or self-contained setting Collaborate with support staff, therapists, and administration to meet IEP goals Track and document student progress, adjusting teaching strategies as needed Provide a positive, patient, and inspiring classroom atmosphere Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers regarding student growth This part-time contract runs from June 24th to July 17th, with morning hours from 8am to 12pm, allowing for work-life balance and summer flexibility.
