An opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher in a contract role with an immediate start, continuing through December. Work with a dedicated group of 5 students in grades 4-6, fostering academic growth and social-emotional development in a supportive, engaging environment.

Key Qualifications:

Valid Special Education Teacher certification Experience working with elementary students, especially grades 4-6 Expertise in developing and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs) Strong classroom management skills and a nurturing, adaptable approach Ability to collaborate effectively with paraprofessionals, therapists, and fellow educators Commitment to fostering an inclusive, positive learning environment

Primary Responsibilities:

Directly instruct a class of 5 students in a self-contained room, tailoring learning activities to meet diverse needs Develop and maintain IEPs, working closely with families and support staff Monitor student progress and adjust strategies to maximize growth and engagement Create a safe, structured, and caring classroom community Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding individual progress and classroom events Engage in team meetings and participate in school-based professional development This contract position features a roughly 7-hour workday running from approximately 8:25 AM to 3:25 PM, allowing for a consistent schedule and meaningful connection with students each day.
