This contract opportunity allows you to work closely with a small, engaged group of around eight students, supporting their academic growth across all core subjects in a nurturing environment. You'll attend and present at IEP meetings, conduct student assessments, and keep a close eye on goal progress—while district administration supports case management, helping you focus daily on teaching and student connection.

Qualifications:

Valid Connecticut Special Education Endorsement Experience writing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Minimum of two recent years in a teaching role Strong organizational skills and a collaborative mindset

Responsibilities:

Teach all academic subjects to a small group of elementary students within a supportive, inclusive classroom Develop comprehensive IEPs tailored to student needs and facilitate progress tracking Present and participate in IEP meetings as a key team contributor Assess students and evaluate individual growth and achievement Collaborate with other educators and school staff to ensure student success
