Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Soliant is seeking a dedicated onsite 4th Grade English Language Arts Special Education Teacher to join a supportive school team in Washington, DC. Responsibilities:
Deliver specialized English Language Arts instruction by co-teaching in an inclusive classroom setting, supporting a caseload of approximately 20 students with diverse learning needs. Provide individualized and small-group instruction within a self-contained classroom of about 10 students, adapting curriculum and strategies to support academic growth and IEP goals. Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to develop and implement effective lesson plans, accommodations, and progress monitoring for all students. Foster an inclusive, structured learning environment that promotes literacy development, engagement, and social-emotional success across both co-taught and self-contained classroom settings.
Experience:
Previous experience in schools preferred.
Education:
Active and full OSSE-issued credential OR active and full license from another state
