Job Description

Job Summary We are adding to our team of Postpartum Doulas, Newborn Care Specialists, and RNs to provide vital support to new families during the critical postpartum period. In this role, you will offer emotional reassurance, practical assistance, and health guidance to ensure mothers and their newborns thrive during their early days together. Your expertise will help families navigate the challenges of postpartum recovery, breastfeeding, and newborn care with confidence and comfort. This paid position is ideal for individuals passionate about maternal health, patient service, and creating positive, empowering experiences for families. Duties Offer personalized postpartum support to new mothers, including emotional reassurance and encouragement during recovery and adjustment. Assist with newborn care routines such as feeding (including breastfeeding support), diapering, bathing, and soothing techniques. Educate families on infant sleep patterns, development milestones, and safe sleep practices. Provide guidance on maternal self-care, recovery exercises, and managing postpartum symptoms. Conduct patient assessments to identify needs or concerns related to postpartum health and well-being. Collaborate with healthcare providers or lactation consultants when necessary to ensure comprehensive care. Maintain detailed documentation of services provided, observations, and family progress. Experience Prior experience working as a postpartum doula, newborn care specialist, RN on a unit with newborns or in maternal/infant health support roles required. Strong knowledge of physiology related to pregnancy, childbirth recovery, and infant development. Excellennt service skills with a compassionate approach tailored to individual family needs. $27.00 - $40.00 per hour
