Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract A contract opportunity is available for an Onsite Early Childhood Teacher in Wilmington, DE, beginning February 17, 2026, through June 11, 2026. This role supports early childhood special education within a school setting, requiring a commitment of 37.5 hours per week with a 30-minute paid lunch break.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide specialized instruction and support to early childhood students with special needs. Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique requirements. Collaborate with classroom teachers, therapists, and families to promote student progress. Monitor and document student performance, adjusting instructional strategies as needed. Maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment that fosters developmental and academic growth.
Qualifications:
Valid Delaware teaching license required; dual licensure preferred (Special Education and Early Childhood Education), but possession of either license is acceptable. Experience working with early childhood special education students. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Ability to manage a caseload effectively and maintain accurate documentation.
