00/hour Hagley Museum and Library — one of the Mid-Atlantic's premier historic sites — is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Janitor to maintain the cleanliness and upkeep of the Soda House facility. This is a great opportunity to work in a unique, historic environment while contributing to the visitor experience at one of Delaware's most treasured landmarks. What You'll Do Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors throughout the Soda House facility. Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, sinks, mirrors, and fixtures. Empty trash receptacles and replace liners; transport waste to designated disposal areas. Dust and wipe down surfaces, furniture, windowsills, and fixtures. Clean windows, glass partitions, and doors as needed. Restock restroom supplies including paper towels, toilet paper, and hand soap. Maintain cleanliness of entryways, lobbies, and common areas. Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or needed repairs to supervisor. Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and in accordance with established procedures. Perform other janitorial or light facilities duties as assigned. What We're Looking For Prior janitorial, custodial, or facilities maintenance experience preferred. Ability to operate standard cleaning equipment including mops, vacuums, and floor scrubbers. Comfortable working with cleaning chemicals and following safety data sheet (SDS) guidelines. Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision. Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 30 lbs. throughout the shift. Respectful of a historic environment and museum setting. The selected candidate will be employed by Goodwill Staffing Services and placed at Hagley Museum and Library.
