Works in a classroom that includes only students with IEPs, or works with students and teachers in regular classes. Newark, Delaware; Onsite Position Summary As a Behavior Support Specialist, you will support students within a school-based setting by conducting behavioral assessments and developing individualized behavior support plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). This role collaborates closely with school staff and behavioral teams to support positive student outcomes and effective behavioral interventions. Responsibilities Schedule / Shift Shift details: School-day schedule, Monday-Friday Hours per week: Full time Contract length: School-based assignment Key Duties Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) for students requiring behavioral support Develop individualized Behavior Support Plans (BSPs) based on assessment findings Collaborate with school staff, behavioral teams, and educational professionals to support student success Implement and monitor behavioral interventions under BCBA supervision Collect, document, and analyze behavioral data to support intervention planning Participate in meetings, trainings, and additional duties as assigned Maintain compliance with district, state, and federal regulations regarding student support services
Requirements Education Required:
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Education, Psychology, Human Development, or related field
Licenses & Certifications Required:
