The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment for students with diverse needs, including those with developmental disabilities and autism. This role will involve developing tailored educational programs, implementing effective teaching strategies, and collaborating with families and other educators to support student success. Responsibilities Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to meet the unique needs of each student. Adapt curriculum and instructional materials to facilitate learning for students with varying abilities. Conduct assessments and standardized testing to evaluate student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly. Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and other professionals to create a supportive learning environment. Provide early intervention strategies for students requiring additional support. Utilize effective communication skills to educate students about their learning processes and advocate for their needs. Maintain accurate records of student progress, behavior, and IEP goals. Foster a positive classroom atmosphere that encourages social interaction and personal growth among students. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field; teaching certification preferred. Experience working with children who have developmental disabilities or autism is highly desirable. Strong skills in curriculum development and literacy education. Knowledge of early intervention techniques and strategies for supporting diverse learners. Ability to effectively communicate with students, families, and colleagues in a professional manner. Familiarity with IEP processes and standardized testing protocols. A genuine passion for educating children and helping them achieve their full potential.
