Job Summary:
The Learning Specialist supports K-12 students with diagnosed learning differences through academic intervention, executive functioning instruction, classroom collaboration, and accommodations support. This position primarily provides math support through push-in, pull-out, co-teaching, and small-group instructional models while partnering with teachers, parents, and administrators to promote student success. The successful candidate will use differentiated instructional strategies to foster academic growth, independence, confidence, and self-advocacy. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide academic support through push-in, pull-out, co-teaching, and small-group instructional settings.
  • Teach executive functioning, organization, study skills, and learning strategies that support classroom success.
  • Provide individualized support and interventions for students with diagnosed learning disabilities.
  • Review psychoeducational evaluations, educational testing, grade reports, and related documentation to support accommodations and student success.
  • Support the implementation and monitoring of accommodations and learning plans developed by the Learning Services Coordinator.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, administrators, and the Learning Services Coordinator regarding student progress and support needs.
  • Maintain accurate, organized, and confidential student records and documentation.
  • Provide push-in and small-group math support across K-12 classrooms.
  • Assist classroom teachers with instructional strategies, accommodations, and student support.
  • Supervise and support students receiving testing accommodations in small-group settings.

  • Must have a clear testimony of personal faith in Jesus Christ as Savior.

Education Required:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Special Education, Mathematics Education, Elementary Education, or a related field.
Preferred:
  • Master's Degree or higher.
  • ACSI Certification.
Experience Required:
  • Minimum of three years of teaching or learning support experience working with students diagnosed with learning disabilities.
  • Experience supporting students in mathematics instruction and intervention.
  • Experience reviewing psychoeducational evaluations and implementing accommodations and learning strategies.
Pay:
$20.00 - $27.28 per hour
