Job Description

Category Schools - Visually Impaired Teacher Job Type Contract Make a difference as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) in a supportive school community. This rewarding, part-time position is perfect for educators passionate about individualized instruction and meaningful student progress. You'll have the opportunity to work one-on-one with two students—one in 3rd grade and one in 5th grade—crafting customized strategies that empower their success. This contract role is set for the 2026 school year, beginning August 12 and concluding June 1. Desired Qualifications:
Valid certification or credential as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired Previous experience supporting students with visual impairments, ideally in a school setting Strong communication skills for collaborating with general education teachers, staff, and families Familiarity with adaptive technologies, braille, and assistive devices for visual impairments Ability to design and modify curriculum to meet individualized education plans (IEPs) Organizational skills and reliability in maintaining student documentation
Position Responsibilities:
