Job Description

Palm Beach School for Autism is seeking dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teachers. This role is ideal for an educator who values evidence-based instruction, collaboration, ongoing support, training opportunities and a structured, engaging team oriented working environment. Key Responsibilities Instruction & Classroom Management
  • Deliver instruction using school-adopted, evidence-based curricula
  • Develop and submit lesson plans on established timelines
  • Implement behavior intervention plans and structured classroom routines
  • Maintain consistent daily schedules for students and staff IEPs & Data Collection
  • Implement and monitor student IEPs with fidelity
  • Collect, analyze, and enter student progress and behavioral data
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members (SLP, OT, PT, BCBA)
  • Develop data-driven annual IEPs and present levels of performance Family & Team Collaboration
  • Communicate regularly with parents/guardians through notes, email, and meetings
  • Participate in IEP meetings Classroom Leadership
  • Supervise and support Teaching Assistants assigned to the classroom
  • Lead classroom team meetings and support staff development
  • Create a positive, professional, and compliant classroom culture Safety & Professional Responsibilities
  • Maintain a safe and secure learning environment
  • Follow all school, state, and federal safety procedures
  • Maintain accurate attendance, student records, and report cards
  • Attend required meetings, trainings, and professional development Qualifications
  • Valid Florida teaching certification (or eligibility)
  • Autism endorsement or willingness to obtain
  • Knowledge of special education and autism best practices
  • Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
