Starting at $30/hour (dependent on experience) Position Overview Birch Agency is seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher (Early Childhood) to support young learners in a structured, nurturing classroom environment. We are currently in search of a Teacher with a Florida Educator Certificate in Exceptional Student Education (ESE) or K 2 to begin at the start of the new academic year . This role focuses on developing and implementing individualized instruction for children with diverse learning needs, promoting growth across social, emotional, physical, and cognitive domains. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement individualized lesson plans aligned with each student s
IEP/IFSP
goals . Provide differentiated instruction based on students unique learning styles, developmental levels, and needs. Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment that promotes independence and creativity. Implement positive behavior supports and classroom management strategies. Plan and deliver curriculum activities that support early childhood development across all domains. Administer assessments and maintain accurate records of student progress and developmental milestones. Collaborate with families, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success. IEP/IFSP
meetings , staff trainings, and professional development. Adapt instructional materials and strategies to meet evolving student needs and best practices. Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions. Qualifications Bachelor s degree from an accredited university required. Active Florida Educator Certificate in Exceptional Student Education (ESE) or K 2 required. Minimum of 1 year of experience in a Voluntary Prekindergarten (VPK) or early childhood setting preferred. Strong understanding of early childhood development, inclusion practices, and special education services. Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills. Valid driver s license and reliable transportation. Ability to meet physical demands of the role, including engaging actively with young children throughout the day. Must pass background check and drug screening. Work Environment School-based early childhood classroom setting.
