The ESE Teacher will provide specially designed instruction to students with varying exceptionalities, ensuring a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes academic and social growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students with exceptionalities. Provide differentiated instruction tailored to the needs of each student in accordance with IEP goals and objectives. Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and related service providers to ensure students' needs are met in the least restrictive environment. Conduct ongoing assessments and modify instructional methods to meet student needs. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress, challenges, and successes. Maintain accurate and timely documentation and records as required by federal, state, and district guidelines. Participate in IEP meetings, staff meetings, professional development, and other school-based activities. Foster a positive and inclusive classroom culture that encourages respect, responsibility and lifelong learning.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field Valid Florida teaching certification in Exceptional Student Education (ESE) or Special Education. Experience working with students with disabilities in K-12 educational settings preferred. Knowledge of federal and state regulations regarding special education. Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a diverse educational team.
