Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated VPK (Voluntary Prekindergarten) Teacher to inspire and nurture young learners in their early childhood education journey. In this vital role, you will create a vibrant classroom environment that promotes developmental growth, literacy, and social-emotional skills. Your enthusiasm and expertise will help prepare children for kindergarten and beyond, ensuring they develop a love for learning from the very start. Duties Develop and implement engaging curriculum plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including Montessori methods when applicable Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that supports toddler care, preschool activities, and early intervention strategies Manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement techniques and effective behavior management strategies Conduct assessments to monitor each child's progress in areas such as literacy education, math, physical education, and social skills Collaborate with parents and guardians to communicate children's development, milestones, and any special education needs Incorporate standardized testing and tutoring practices to support individual learning goals Plan and lead age-appropriate lessons that promote childhood development, classroom management, and child welfare principles Skills Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles, including toddler care, preschool experience, and special education techniques Proven experience in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management in daycare or private school settings Ability to work effectively with children of diverse backgrounds and needs, including those requiring early intervention or special education services Excellent communication skills to engage with students, parents, colleagues, and community partners Experience with standardized testing procedures and tutoring methods to support student growth Demonstrated understanding of childhood development stages and child welfare best practices Join us in shaping the future by providing young children with a strong foundation for lifelong learning! Pay:
$17.00 - $19.00 per hour
