This position involves providing direct supervision, support, and engagement for students with varying abilities while helping to create a safe, positive, and inclusive environment. Responsibilities include assisting with the planning and implementation of activities designed to meet the needs and interests of special needs students. Staff may be assigned to supervise students in ratios of 1:1, 1:3, 1:5, or 1:10, depending on student needs and program requirements. Previous special needs experience or training is

PM Minimum Requirements:

Must be 18 years of age or older Must possess a High School Diploma or GED Must successfully clear federal and local background checks (School Board fingerprinting required) Must complete a standard physical within 48 hours of hire (scheduled and paid for by Sunshine) Must complete 45 hours of Child Care training courses within one year of employment Must complete CPR and First Aid certification within 30 days of hire (scheduled and paid for by Sunshine) Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English Must have reliable transportation Must be a team player with a positive attitude and a genuine desire to work with children
