In this role, you will foster musical development, cultivate creativity, and build confidence among students through engaging choral activities. As a vital member of our educational team, you will design innovative curricula, adapt lessons to diverse learning styles, and promote a positive classroom environment that encourages artistic expression and teamwork. Responsibilities Develop comprehensive chorus curricula aligned with educational standards and student needs, incorporating elements of music theory, vocal technique, and performance skills Plan and execute engaging lessons that accommodate various learning styles and abilities, including students with disabilities or special education needs Foster a supportive classroom atmosphere that promotes collaboration, respect, and enthusiasm for music Utilize learning management systems (LMS) to track student progress, attendance, and performance data effectively Adapt teaching strategies to meet the diverse cultural backgrounds of students and ensure inclusive participation Prepare students for performances, competitions, and assessments such as standardized testing in music education Analyze student performance data to identify areas for improvement and tailor instruction accordingly Requirements Proven experience in classroom teaching, particularly in music or chorus instruction at the middle school level Strong knowledge of curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management techniques Familiarity with learning technology tools and LMS platforms for tracking student progress Experience working with children with diverse needs, including those with disabilities or in special education programs Understanding of childhood development principles relevant to music education and behavior management strategies Excellent communication skills to engage students, parents, and colleagues effectively Knowledge of educational compliance standards and regulations related to arts education and student safety Demonstrated ability to adapt lessons to different learning styles and cultural backgrounds Prior experience with private or Montessori school environments is a plus Passion for fostering creativity through literacy education in music, math integration where applicable, and writing skills for song lyrics or scripts Florida Certified Join us as a Chorus Teacher MS - Port St Lucie to make a meaningful impact on students' lives through the power of music!
