In this vital role, you will lead a dynamic classroom environment, fostering a love of learning while ensuring every child's developmental needs are met through engaging instruction and compassionate care. Your energy and expertise will inspire young learners, support their growth across all developmental domains, and uphold the highest standards of preschool education. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children's lives while working within a collaborative and supportive team. Responsibilities Develop and implement comprehensive curriculum plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including literacy, math, physical education, and Montessori methods where applicable. Lead daily classroom activities that promote social-emotional development, behavior management, and positive interactions among children. Provide tailored instruction in child development, early intervention strategies, and special education needs to support diverse learners. Manage classroom environments effectively through strong classroom management techniques, lesson planning, and maintaining a safe, nurturing space for children. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding each child's progress, behavior, and developmental milestones. Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and child welfare policies to safeguard all children in your care. Collaborate with colleagues to plan educational activities that incorporate standardized testing preparation and tutoring when appropriate. Experience Valid active credentials as a VPK (Voluntary Prekindergarten) Lead Teacher or equivalent certification in early childhood education. Proven experience working with young children in preschool or daycare settings, including toddler care and preschool teaching roles. Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, lesson planning, classroom management, and behavior management strategies. Familiarity with special education practices, early intervention programs, and literacy education techniques. Experience implementing Montessori methods or other specialized educational approaches is a plus. Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and team members. Knowledge of mandated reporting laws and child welfare standards to ensure compliance and safety. Pay:
$19.00 - $22.00 per hour
