Full-Time Exceptional Student Education (ESE)
Teacher Location:
Blessed Sacrament Catholic School Position Summary The Exceptional Student Education (ESE) Teacher is responsible for providing specialized instruction and support to students with disabilities. The ESE Teacher collaborates with general education teachers, administrators, related service providers, and families to ensure students receive appropriate educational services and achieve academic, and social-emotional success. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Develop, implement, and monitor Student Support Plans for assigned students. Provide direct instruction utilizing evidence-based practices and differentiated teaching strategies. Maintain accurate and timely documentation related to student progress, services, and compliance requirements. Conduct progress monitoring and communicate student growth to parents and stakeholders. Collaborate with general education teachers to provide accommodations and instructional support. Participate in Student Support meetings and eligibility meetings. Manage and maintain a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment. Utilize data to inform instruction and support student achievement. Coordinate with related service providers, including speech therapists, occupational therapists, counselors, and psychologists. Participate in professional development and ongoing training related to special education best practices. Perform other duties as assigned by administration. Minimum Qualifications Valid Florida Educator Certificate with ESE certification or eligibility to obtain certification. Knowledge of Section 504 and Florida ESE regulations. Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills. Ability to develop and implement individualized instructional strategies. Level II background clearance and Safe Environment training.
