Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Certified Teacher or former teacher to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this role, you will play a vital part in fostering a nurturing, engaging, and educational environment for young learners. Your expertise in child development, curriculum design, and classroom management will help inspire curiosity and support the growth of children during their formative years. Responsibilities Develop and implement age-appropriate curricula that promote literacy, math, physical activity, and social-emotional development for preschool and early elementary students. Create engaging lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards and adapt to individual student needs. Manage classroom behavior using positive reinforcement techniques and effective behavior management strategies to foster a safe and respectful learning environment. Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about student progress, milestones, and any concerns regarding child welfare or development. Support children's physical health by maintaining safety protocols, including first aid and CPR certification, and ensuring a clean, healthy classroom environment. Incorporate special education strategies and early intervention techniques to support children with diverse learning needs. Conduct assessments using standardized testing methods to monitor progress and inform instructional planning. Qualifications Valid Florida certification as a teacher or proven experience as a former teacher in school settings. Demonstrated experience working with children across various developmental stages, including toddlers and preschoolers. Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, curriculum development, classroom management, and behavior management techniques. Experience with special education, early intervention programs, and literacy education is highly desirable. Familiarity with mandated reporting laws, child welfare policies, and health & safety regulations such as first aid and CPR certifications. Excellent communication skills for effective parent engagement and team collaboration. Prior classroom experience in daycare, private school, or preschool environments is preferred. Ability to plan lessons that incorporate math skills, physical education activities, and holistic child development strategies. Pay:
$19.00 - $23.00 per hour
