Job Description

The Lead Two-Year-Old Teacher is responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment for children ages 24-36 months. The ideal candidate will foster children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development through developmentally appropriate activities while maintaining compliance with all licensing requirements and center policies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Plan and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities that support early childhood development. Maintain a safe, clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment. Supervise children at all times and ensure proper teacher-to-child ratios are maintained. Complete daily classroom documentation, including attendance, meals, diapering/toileting records, and parent communication. Observe and assess each child's developmental progress and communicate concerns appropriately. Build positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers. Use positive behavior guidance techniques to encourage appropriate behavior and social skills. Maintain classroom supplies, materials, and learning centers. Participate in outdoor play, transitions, meals, rest time, and all aspects of the children's daily routine. Ensure all licensing, health, and safety regulations are followed at all times. Attend staff meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities as required. Maintain confidentiality regarding children, families, and staff.
