Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Soliant is partnered with a school district near Athens, GA that is in need of a Middle School Special Education Teacher for the upcoming school year. This is a full time position that involves working with students in a behavioral setting. Please see below for further details.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education preferred Valid Teaching License in the state of GA through GaPSC, with Special Education certification area Additional certification in all subject areas (Math, Reading, Language Arts, Science, Social Studies) previous experience working in a behavioral or alternative education setting CPI or behavior de-escalation experience preferred

Position Details and Responsibilities:

Deliver specialized instruction to students receiving services through the GNETS program. Develop and implement IEP goals and accommodations. Provide behavioral interventions and positive behavior supports. Collaborate with administrators, related service providers, families, and support staff. Monitor student progress and maintain compliance documentation. Differentiate instruction across multiple academic content areas. Foster a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment.
