Job Description
Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Step into a meaningful role empowering students with diverse learning needs in an engaging school setting for the 2026/2027 academic year. This full-time, onsite opportunity calls for dedicated Special Education Teachers to support students through personalized instruction, effective IEP implementation, and strong classroom leadership. As an integral part of a collaborative team, you'll work closely with general education staff, maintaining thorough documentation while ensuring each student receives the guidance and resources they need to thrive. The caseload will be determined prior to the start of the school year, allowing for placement that best matches your expertise and background.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
Active Georgia Special Education Teacher licensure/certification (please provide verification upon application) Prior school-based special education teaching experience is highly preferred Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, paraprofessionals, service providers, and parents Proven classroom management skills and familiarity with IEP processes Full-time availability for the 2026/2027 school year (Monday-Friday, 37.5 hours per week) Reliable, onsite presence required throughout the assignmentKey Responsibilities:
Deliver targeted, specialized instruction in accordance with students' IEPs Collaborate with faculty and families to support each learner's progress Conduct assessments, update educational documentation, and contribute to multidisciplinary meetings Foster a supportive, inclusive classroom environment Implement behavioral and academic interventions as necessary Take the next step in your teaching career by helping shape a supportive, positive learning environment.
