Caseload within Rocky Creek Charter Academy Middle School Students Full Time 1.0 FTE, M-F About the Role Hello, Special Education Teachers! Ampersand Therapy is hiring a full-time Middle School Special Education Teacher for a school setting in Augusta, GA. In this role, you'll play a critical part in student success by implementing specialized instruction, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, and ensuring compliance with IEP goals and student progress. This is a great fit for both seasoned special education teachers and those new to school-based settings. Why Join Us Competitive pay (Up to $30-35/hour) + steady school-year schedule W-2 employment with liability insurance included Healthcare benefits• + 401(k) with company match Reimbursement for licensure, CEUs, and professional expenses Mileage reimbursement between sites + referral bonuses What You'll Do Provide specialized, IEP-driven instruction across academic, behavioral, and functional domains Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with student IEP goals and individual needs Assess student progress and maintain accurate data, reports, and compliance documentation Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and families Utilize a variety of instructional strategies to support access to the general curriculum Create and maintain a structured, supportive learning environment that promotes positive behavior Support students with daily living skills, including toileting, feeding, mobility, and health-related needs as required Ensure compliance with state and district guidelines for IEP development, timelines, and implementation What We're Looking For Hold appropriate teaching certification in Special Education Must have already passed the GACE test in Special Ed Curriculum Bachelor's degree in Special Education from an accredited institution Strong communication and collaboration skills School-based experience preferred, not required About Ampersand Therapy Ampersand Therapy is a women- and therapist-operated company built by providers who understand school-based work.
