The Main Street Academy (TMSA) is seeking an innovative, passionate, and student-centered TAG (Talented and Gifted) Teacher who is excited to inspire the next generation of thinkers, creators, and leaders! This dynamic educator will design and deliver engaging, rigorous, and differentiated instruction that challenges gifted and high-achieving students to reach their fullest potential. The ideal candidate is energetic, forward-thinking, and committed to academic excellence while supporting the unique intellectual, social, and emotional needs of advanced learners. This role is an exciting opportunity to make a lasting impact by creating meaningful enrichment experiences aligned with state standards and TMSA's mission of educational innovation and student success.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited university (Conferred) Minimum of 2 years of successful classroom teaching experience preferred. Strong knowledge of differentiated instruction, enrichment strategies, and gifted education best practices. Certification/Licensure Valid Georgia Teaching Certification Gifted/TAG Endorsement or Gifted In-Field Certification required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and implement engaging lesson plans tailored to gifted and advanced learners. Differentiate instruction to meet the academic, social, and emotional needs of TAG students. Integrate Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts/Agriculture, and Math (STEAM) based instruction with instructional objectives and standards Implement Project-based Learning Further, the objectives, goals, and outcomes of the Schoolwide Enrichment Model (SEM) program Identify and assess students for gifted program participation using multiple data sources. Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages innovation and collaboration. Monitor student progress and maintain accurate academic records and reports. Collaborate with classroom teachers, administrators, counselors, and parents to support student achievement. Integrate technology and project-based learning into instruction. Prepare students for academic competitions, enrichment opportunities, and advanced coursework. Participate in professional development, staff meetings, and school events. Ensure compliance with district, state, and federal educational guidelines. Demonstrate organizational skills and initiative for working with minimal direct supervision Knowledge and experience using technology for communication, data analysis, gathering and organizing information for presentations Working knowledge of current research and resources in content areas Maintain confidentiality and adhere to Family Education Rights and Privacy (FERPA) requirements.
Skills and Knowledge:
Understanding of gifted education best practices. Ability to design challenging and creative curriculum experiences. Strong interpersonal skills with students, parents, and staff. Ability to motivate students and foster academic excellence.
