Job Description

Make a real impact supporting students in a self-contained middle school environment, working with a caseload of 10 sixth to eighth-grade learners. As a Special Education Teacher in this full-time contract position, you'll collaborate closely with school staff and provide tailored instruction on an adapted curriculum. The setting is designed for moderate needs—there are no severe disabilities in the classroom. Only one school is assigned, giving you the chance to truly invest in your students' progress throughout the school year.
Qualifications and Skills:
Valid Georgia Special Education certification with Adapted Curriculum endorsement Experience teaching middle school or similar student populations Commitment to individualized instruction and inclusive practices Strong communication and organizational abilities Comfort with flexible and responsive collaboration in a school environment
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement IEPs focused on adapted curriculum for each student Provide small group and individualized instruction within a self-contained setting Monitor students' progress and document performance towards educational goals Collaborate regularly with related service providers, support personnel, and families Participate in team meetings and training as needed Maintain compliance with school and state educational requirements
