A Special Education Teacher teaches students who have disabilities, and adapts teaching methods to meet the needs of students. Assesses students and helps to develop individualized education plans that specify the services and accommodations needed for each student. Works in a classroom that includes only students with IEPs, or works with students and teachers in regular classes. For students with severe disabilities, may focus on developing skills for independent living. Works as part of a team that includes therapists, school counselors or social workers.
Part Time Lead Teacher and Part Time Data Coach The employee will be a Lead Teacher and Data Coach. The Lead Teacher's role is the same as full time lead teachers. The Data Coach's Role is to build the capacity of GLOBE teachers to consistently deliver engaging, relevant and challenging instruction through MTSS (Tier
I, II, & III
) to students that results in data to show growth has been made or growth has not occurred.
Coaches accomplish this goal at GLOBE primarily through two levers: 1) Coaching teachers to master core behaviors outlined in GLOBE's & DCSD's Definition of MTSS guidelines and 2) supporting a holistic approach to teacher professional development that integrates all components of GLOBE's & DCSD's MTSS processes. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Lead teacher (50%) • Lead teacher ○ Responsible for all lead teacher responsibilities ○ Coaches and supports TA to take over as Lead when attending to responsibilities as coach 2. Develop teachers' capacity to master their understanding MTSS process via implementing all components of GLOBE's Academic System Framework (50% of time) • MTSS implementation o Supports HoS in developing and implementing school-wide vision, strategic plan, goals and priorities o Integrates strategic plan priorities into annual plan and priorities o Participates in hiring of highly skilled and diverse staff o Designs appropriate data systems to ensure teachers and instructional leaders have actionable, easy to use data reports to drive re-teaching and instructional prioritization o Analyzes and presents campus-wide data o Executes a robust

process o Leads professional learning with teachers on MTSS process o Facilitates Professional Learning Community data-talks o Provides Board with relevant progress updates • Instructional Coaching o Establishes strong relationships and a culture of safety and support with teachers o Sets measurable goals, in partnership with each teacher, for each MTSS process and data collection o Provides weekly to bi-weekly data collection and strategy implementation coaching using a structured coaching cycle (e.g., observations, student data analysis, debrief, practice/modeling, follow-up) o Identifies the highest-leverage teacher skills and bite-sized action steps to focus coaching cycles o Facilitates regular reflection with teachers to assess strengths and areas for improvement in the coaching relationship and overall progress towards achieving coaching goals in MTSS; revises coaching frequency, structures, and plan as needed 3.
