Job Description

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Deaf Education, active DHH teaching certification, and 1+ years Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Make an immediate impact in the lives of students as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing in a vibrant school community near Gainesville, GA. This contracted, part-time opportunity will place you in multiple school settings, delivering essential support to students with hearing differences from July 27, 2026, through May 25, 2027. You'll work approximately 20 hours per week, collaborating with educational teams to ensure each student receives the resources and attention they deserve.
What We're Looking For:
Valid Georgia Teaching Certificate in Special Education - Deaf Education (P-12) OR Special Education General Curriculum (P-12) with a Deaf/Hard of Hearing endorsement Prior experience working with Deaf/Hard of Hearing students preferred Strong communication and organization skills Ability to adapt instruction to meet student needs and collaborate within multidisciplinary teams Dedication to fostering an equitable and accessible learning environment
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct instruction and support to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing within various school settings Develop, modify, and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with other educators and support staff Consult and collaborate with general education teachers to ensure appropriate accommodations and inclusive practices Track and report on student progress, maintaining open communication with parents and school staff Advocate for student needs and contribute to a positive, inclusive school culture Take pride in helping every learner thrive while enjoying the dynamic environment of multiple school locations.
