Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact supporting students as a Special Education Teacher during the 2026/2027 school year. This full-time contract assignment involves providing dedicated, onsite support to learners in a vibrant educational environment. You'll collaborate with general education colleagues, ensure each student's Individualized Education Program (IEP) is implemented effectively, and foster an inclusive, supportive classroom atmosphere.
Qualifications & Experience Needed:
Current and valid Georgia Special Education Teacher licensure or certification (confirmation required with your application) Previous experience in a school-based special education setting is preferred Proficiency in classroom management and maintaining comprehensive documentation Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and families Full-time, onsite availability throughout the 2026/2027 school year
Role Responsibilities:
Deliver individualized and group instruction that supports IEP goals Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the diverse needs of students with disabilities Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and support staff for inclusive practices Maintain accurate records related to IEPs, progress monitoring, and compliance requirements Engage students in a positive, structured learning environment that encourages participation and growth This position is strictly onsite, requiring reliable transportation and a commitment to working Monday through Friday, 37.5 hours per week. Caseload and school location will be determined prior to assignment.
