Job Description

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Special education professionals have the opportunity to make a lasting impact by supporting students with unique learning needs in a supportive school environment. Multiple contract positions are available for the upcoming school year, specifically for educators with expertise in Special Education. These roles offer a chance to work with students on the autism spectrum in both elementary and middle school settings, providing essential instruction, guidance, and advocacy.
Qualifications & Required Experience:
Active Special Education teaching license in Georgia, with appropriate endorsements for Autism/Adaptive Curriculum or General Curriculum Experience working with students with autism, particularly supporting high physical and academic needs (for elementary self-contained classroom) Familiarity with inclusion practices and resource support models (for middle school settings) Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills Demonstrated ability to adapt curriculum and instruction to meet a wide range of abilities
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction in a self-contained or inclusion classroom Adapt teaching methods and materials to accommodate students' diverse learning needs Coordinate and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) in compliance with state and federal guidelines Monitor student progress and communicate effectively with families, school staff, and other professionals Foster a positive, supportive classroom climate that encourages student participation and growth Collaborate with general education teachers and related service providers to ensure smooth transitions and effective educational supports Educators working in this role will find a structured, supportive environment where their skills are valued and put to meaningful use.
