for middle school). Experience with self-contained classrooms, especially those serving students with autism. Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams. Strong organizational skills and a passion for fostering inclusive academic environments.
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide instruction to students in a self-contained classroom, supporting those with high physical and academic needs (North Jackson Elementary, Autism Level 3). Teach and manage self-contained classrooms for either ASD Level 1 students or Adaptive MI/MO students at the middle school level. Adapt curricula and develop individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique needs. Work onsite for the entirety of the contract period and participate in school-based training and meetings. Maintain open communication with parents, guardians, and educational staff regarding student progress.
