In this role, you will play a vital part in creating a nurturing and engaging learning environment by seamlessly stepping into various classrooms and supporting diverse student needs. Your enthusiasm and flexibility will help ensure that every child receives high-quality instruction, whether in preschool, toddler care, or special education settings. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to early childhood development while gaining valuable classroom experience across multiple age groups and educational programs. Duties Provide coverage and support across different classrooms, including preschool, toddler care, and special education settings, ensuring continuity of instruction and care. Assist with lesson planning and curriculum development tailored to the developmental stages of children, incorporating literacy education, math, physical education, and Montessori methods when applicable. Implement behavior management strategies to foster positive behavior and promote a safe, respectful classroom environment. Support teachers with classroom management, including organizing activities, maintaining routines, and managing classroom supplies. Engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote childhood development, social-emotional skills, and early intervention strategies. Collaborate with staff on individualized plans for children requiring special education or additional support services. Communicate effectively with parents and team members about children's progress and welfare, ensuring transparency and fostering trust. Qualifications Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or private school environments is preferred. Knowledge of early childhood education principles, including curriculum development, classroom management, and behavior management techniques. Familiarity with special education practices, early intervention strategies, and literacy education is highly desirable. Experience with standardized testing, tutoring, teaching physical education, or Montessori methods will be considered an asset. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues and engage with children's families. Ability to adapt quickly to different classroom environments while maintaining a positive attitude.
