Category Schools - Visually Impaired Teacher Job Type Contract An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced educator skilled in working with visually impaired students. This contract position focuses on providing specialized instruction and support to a 6th-grade student requiring vision-related assistance. Key Qualifications:

Current Georgia PSC certification with Vision Impairment/TVI endorsement. Experience supporting K-12 students with visual impairments, preferably in a school setting. Strong collaboration skills for working with classroom teachers, special education teams, and school staff. Knowledge of accessible instructional materials and assistive technology solutions. Ability to monitor student progress and adjust strategies as needed.

Primary Responsibilities:

Deliver direct, specialized instruction in accordance with the student's IEP through two individual 30-minute sessions per month. Consult with educators and staff to facilitate effective accommodations and ensure the classroom environment remains accessible. Advise on appropriate assistive technology and accessibility practices. Create and adapt instructional materials to suit the student's needs and ensure full participation in lessons. Track and report student progress, maintain ongoing communication with the educational team, and participate in IEP compliance.
