A Special Education Teacher teaches students who have disabilities, and adapts teaching methods to meet the needs of students. Assesses students and helps to develop individualized education plans that specify the services and accommodations needed for each student. Works in a classroom that includes only students with IEPs, or works with students and teachers in regular classes. For students with severe disabilities, may focus on developing skills for independent living. Works as part of a team that includes therapists, school counselors or social workers.

At Little Endeavors Learning Center we are currently seeking qualified applicants for our Three Year Old Room. Once hired, here is what you can expect: Competitive pay, willing to negotiate depending on experience and the opportunity for annual raises Full-time employees are eligible for Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits Full-time employees are eligible for paid vacation and holidays A competitive discounted rate on childcare services Monday through Friday schedule, with no weekends or holidays A fun and upbeat environment Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Complete and maintain DHS required trainings and following all DHS regulations Supervise children and ensure their safety Clean in the classroom and complete other daily chores Follow a daily schedule Create and implement lesson plans and activities Assist in potty training children Prepare children for kindergarten The ideal team member would be someone who possesses the following qualities: Ability to care for children between the ages of 6 weeks to 11 years of age A strong sense of professionalism and ability to communicate Exceptional reliability and willingness to learn new things Ability to plan and execute curriculum and follow a daily schedule Most of all, the ideal candidates would have a passion about educating and caring for children.
