We are seeking an educator who believes in building strong relationships, using data-informed practices, and advocating for student growth and independence in all settings. Responsibilities Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to meet the unique needs of each student. Assess student progress and adjust instructional strategies to maximize growth and achievement. Collaborate with general education teachers, interventionists, specialists, and support staff to ensure meaningful inclusion opportunities for students with disabilities. Provide direct instruction in academic, behavioral, functional, and social-emotional skills. Create a positive, structured, and supportive classroom environment that promotes belonging, independence, and student engagement. Maintain accurate documentation related to student progress, behavior, accommodations, and IEP compliance. Communicate regularly and effectively with families regarding student growth, goals, and supports. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to collaborative problem-solving and student-centered planning. Utilize evidence-based instructional and behavioral strategies to support diverse learning needs. Incorporate technology and assistive tools to enhance student learning and accessibility. Engage in ongoing professional development and remain current on best practices in special education and inclusive education. Build strong partnerships with community agencies and support services to strengthen outcomes for students and families. Uphold Lincoln Elementary's commitment to equity, inclusion, and the belief that every child can learn and thrive. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field; Master's degree preferred. Valid state teaching certification in Special Education. Experience working with students with disabilities in an educational setting. Strong knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and compliance procedures. Understanding of inclusive practices and a commitment to ensuring all students have access to high-quality instruction and support. Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team. Patience, flexibility, empathy, and a strong passion for helping students succeed. Proficiency with educational technology and data-driven instructional practices. Knowledge of behavioral intervention strategies and classroom management techniques.
