Key Qualifications & Experience:

Previous experience as a paraprofessional or in a similar support role, especially within a school environment Ability to build rapport and connect with students, adapting activities to individual needs Familiarity with working 1:1 with students who may require academic or behavioral assistance Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with educators, therapists, and families Patience, empathy, and enthusiasm for supporting diverse learners High school diploma or equivalent required; paraprofessional certification preferred or willingness to obtain

Responsibilities:

Provide dedicated, hands-on support to a designated student throughout the school day Assist with academic tasks, social integration, and life skills, based on the student's IEP or learning plan Implement accommodations and modifications as directed by teachers or specialists Foster a safe, inclusive, and encouraging learning environment Monitor progress and communicate observations to teaching staff Aid with transitions, mobility, or personal care needs as necessary
