Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding position supporting students with diverse needs as a contract Special Education Teacher. This opportunity offers five openings for the Extended School Year (ESY) program, each playing a critical role in delivering meaningful instruction and support. The program runs from May 27th through June 25th, with a convenient Monday to Thursday morning schedule—perfect for those seeking impactful work with a balanced routine.
Open positions include:
Early childhood (1 opening) Adult transition (1 opening) K-12 (3 openings)
Key Qualifications:
Valid LBS1 certification required Experience teaching or supporting students with special needs in school settings Strong communication and collaboration skills Ability to create and implement differentiated instruction and IEP-driven support Commitment to fostering an inclusive, positive learning environment
Responsibilities:
Provide targeted, individualized instruction according to student IEPs Collaborate with related service providers and general education teachers Monitor student progress and document outcomes Adapt materials and teaching techniques to different learning styles and abilities Support students' academic, social, and behavioral growth throughout the ESY program
