Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Make a significant impact as a Special Education Teacher supporting PreK learners in a resource setting for the 2026-2027 school year. This part-time contract opportunity lets you inspire growth in young children by offering individualized guidance and care. You will work with a small caseload, fostering an inclusive and supportive environment while collaborating with teachers, families, and staff.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
Active Illinois LBS1 (Learning Behavior Specialist 1) License PreK Endorsement (required) Demonstrated experience with early childhood special education is highly valued Ability to adapt instruction for diverse learning needs Strong communication and collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams Dedication to maintaining accurate documentation and compliance
Key Responsibilities:
Provide targeted instruction and interventions for approximately 8-10 PreK students Deliver services using both push-in and pull-out models within a resource classroom Design, write, and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) specific to each student's needs Work closely with classroom teachers, families, and related service staff to support holistic student success Track progress and maintain compliance with state and local guidelines This part-time contract position allows you to positively shape the lives of young learners while enjoying a flexible schedule for the 2026-2027 academic year.
